I have been drawing pictures and sewing since I was old enough to hold a crayon and a needle. I eventually graduated from my bucket of Crayolas and costuming my Ginny dolls to the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. Always drawing and stitching, it was inevitable that I would begin creating fabric pictures.
For more than 25 years I have been designing with fabric and sharing my ideas and techniques with others. Not only am I a quilt maker, I am a cloth doll designer as well. I love teaching and find it to be every bit as rewarding as the design process. I have traveled the country extensively lecturing, teaching and always learning.
One of the founding members of the New England Quilt Museum in Lowell, Massachusetts, I teach on a regular basis in the Boston area where I was born and raised. My latest venture is a series of patterns of my wool and cotton appliqué, redwork stitchery, and cloth doll designs.
